Chamonix and Courmayeur: separate ski areas
The French side includes Brévent–Flégère, Grands Montets, Balme–Vallorcine and Les Houches–Saint-Gervais. Across Mont Blanc, the Courmayeur piste area is in Italy. Search Bochard Bas on the French side or Val Veny in Courmayeur; map gaps do not indicate skiable connections.
The sector markers are for orientation only. Courmayeur is not reachable from Chamonix on marked pistes; check travel and access separately. Small French beginner areas such as Les Planards and La Vormaine are outside this five-area extract.
The map also shows 20 selected named OSM backcountry fragments, including Vallée Blanche variants, Envers du Plan and Pas du Chevre. They are separate reference traces, not a complete or recommended itinerary.

This line-only snapshot omits some polygon pistes and may have incomplete or outdated names and connections. It is not a live opening report or a navigation map, and no direction arrows have been verified. Check the official Chamonix and Courmayeur maps and current openings linked above.
The purple dashed Vallée Blanche and other off-piste lines are historical OSM traces, not marked pistes or safe routes. This glaciated terrain has crevasses, avalanche hazards and changing access; the arête and return are not a verified connected path on this map. Do not use these lines for navigation. Check current conditions and seek a qualified local mountain guide. Skyway Monte Bianco and Panoramic Mont-Blanc cable lines remain excluded and no marked-piste connection to Courmayeur is implied.
