1. Choose and download the right area
Open Settings → Map and offline maps and select the area you intend to ski. Use Wi-Fi for large packages and keep the app open. Wait for the download to finish; a started or paused download is not a ready offline package.
If your journey crosses areas, check that the necessary data is installed for the whole journey. Do not infer coverage from a resort name in search results alone.
2. Check the map and local search
Open the downloaded area and inspect the pistes and lifts you expect to use. Search for a known piste or lift by name. Resolve missing map details or incomplete downloads before setting out.
Temporarily disconnect to check map browsing and local search, then reconnect for the navigation checks below. Online place searches are not a substitute for testing downloaded data.
3. Plan the actual journey
Select your intended start and finish with an appropriate difficulty limit. Review lifts, pistes and any walking or transport legs. A missing connection may require a different destination or additional data.
A plan is not evidence that a piste or lift is open. Check resort information and signage separately.
4. Check navigation while connected
Starting navigation requires restriction information updated within the last 24 hours. If it is missing or stale, reconnect and retry; known restricted routes remain blocked. Check this before each outing, even if you downloaded the maps several days ago.
This freshness check is not a real-time closure feed. Follow resort instructions if they differ from the map.
5. Prepare the phone and finish the check
Allow the requested location access. If using Premium voice or lock-screen guidance, test the voice and volume before skiing. Check your phone’s charge and carry access to the resort’s own map or information.
End test navigation in the app. If something is still missing, use the support instructions while connected rather than relying on an incomplete setup on the mountain.
